About the Owner, Deena Kolb

I have been in the accounting field for over 10 years and started Ledger Domain in 2004 after receiving my Professional Bookkeeper certification and title.  My goal is to help save my clients money and keep accurate, up-to-date books so they  can get a correct view of their business finances.  I have extensive knowledge in sales tax and use tax law for Idaho which saves my clients money.  For example, vendors often don't know the tax law so they charge sales tax on items that are on not taxable or vice versa - they don't charge tax when they should be.  Since I know the law well, I am able to catch these mistakes and save my clients money or save them from penalties if they should be audited.  I have saved many of my clients from hundreds of dollars of sales tax they didn't have to pay.

Education and Training:
I graduated with a degree in Education from a private college in Illinois called Principia College, across the river from St. Louis.  After raising my three kids I went back to school for further training in accounting and specific training in keeping books for small businesses of 100 employees or less. I got my bookkeeping certificate from Universal Accounting in Salt Lake City in 2004 where I had over 80 hours of extensive small bookkeeping training and received my Professional Bookkeeping (PB) certification.
